A Day in the Life
The Supervisor – Contracting & Payments is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end contracting, payment execution, and financial compliance processes supporting Customer Events Experience (CEE) across LatAm. This role operates within the back‑office operations layer of the integrated events operating model, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution of vendor and HCP contracts, payments, reimbursements, and reconciliation activities. The position combines operational leadership, financial governance, and compliance oversight, ensuring alignment with Medtronic policies, regional regulations, and transparency requirements. The Supervisor leads a team of specialists, drives process standardization, manages risk, and ensures service delivery excellence in a high‑volume, multi‑country environment. This role will be working in a flex model in Bogotá.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead and manage end‑to‑end contracting and payment operations for Customer Events Experience Area
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and transparency regulations
- Oversee vendor and HCP contracting, payments, and reconciliation processes
- Drive financial accuracy, timeliness, and operational efficiency
- Act as a key partner to Event Operations, Meeting Planning, Compliance, and Finance teams
- Manage, develop, and coach a team of contracting and payments specialists
- Ensure audit readiness, documentation integrity, and risk mitigation
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three to Five years of experience in: Event operations, finance operations, or compliance‑related roles
- Fluent in English
- Contracts management,
Payments and financial operations, Expense reimbursement processes
- Strong knowledge of: Compliance requirements (HCP/HCO interactions, transfer of value), Financial systems and reconciliation processes
- Experience managing: Operational teams
- Strong: Attention to detail and risk management mindset, Stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination
- Ability to operate in high‑volume, complex, multi‑country environments
- Experience in MedTech, healthcare, or regulated industries; Experience with: Concur, Ariba, ONIT, or similar systems, Event management ecosystems (Cvent, Workfront); Knowledge of: LATAM regulatory environments and compliance requirements and Contracts management, Payments and financial operations, Expense reimbursement processes are advantageous
