The Work You'll Do:
At Sovos, we manage and scale the database infrastructure that powers tax compliance for more than 100,000 customers across 100+ countries. As a Senior Database Administrator,



you'll be a hands‑on technical leader responsible for the performance, security, and availability of our enterprise database environments — keeping mission‑critical SaaS applications running at their best.
More specifically, you will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for critical database technologies, leading resolution of complex incidents and performance issues across SQL Server mainly
- Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to optimize query response times and system throughput
- Collaborate with software engineers and tech leads to review query designs and schema changes, ensuring efficiency and scalability prior to deployment
- Lead the implementation of patches, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime, including backup/recovery strategies, high‑availability setups, and disaster recovery testing
- Mentor and support
