Job Description
About the Job
Kent is looking for a Civil Designer I to support local projects.
Skills and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Preparation of drawings, sketches, and diagrams: Prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams specific to each project, applying specific knowledge, standards, and established guidelines for each document, in order to ensure that the requirements and needs set forth by the client and the projects are met within the deadlines defined in the Detailed Work Plan and in accordance with the quality and compliance parameters stipulated in the Value Proposition.
Technical Support: Support engineers in the discipline in the preparation, review, supplementation, or expansion of generally applied technical standards, in accordance with procedures established by the Company and client requests, in order to optimize and facilitate project development.
Audit Support: Participate in resolving findings from internal audits, periodic inspections, and/or non-conformity reports issued by the Quality Department, as requested by your immediate supervisor,



in order to support activities that enable the completion of corrective and/or preventive actions for the timely implementation of improvement measures.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the employee may be required to perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by their supervisor or management.
These duties will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization.
This provision is intended to provide flexibility and adaptability to meet the organization's evolving operational needs.
All assignments will take into consideration the employee's current workload and professional development.
Knowledge / Qualifications / Training / Certification
High school diploma or technical high school diploma.
Drafting Technician, Technical Degree, or Technologist in a related Civil discipline.
Basic to intermediate English proficiency is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD 2D and 3D)
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings in the civil engineering field.
Knowledge of Civil 3D software is desirable.
Knowledge of Smart Plant 3D is desirable.
Field data collection.
Communication
Excellent command of Spanish - English (preferred) in oral and written communication and related skills.
Extensive experience in preparing drawings for concrete and steel structures, roads, drainage systems, and quantity take-offs.
Experience using software to generate contour lines, cross-sections, profiles, and grading platforms.
HSSEQ
The employee shall comply with the Company's Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, and Quality (HSSEQ) policies, as well as applicable client requirements and host-country governmental regulations.
