Job Description
A client in the Food Service industry is looking for a Full Stack React Native Developer to join a team responsible for modernizing franchisee operations by replacing a 15-year-old legacy application with a new mobile platform.
This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a React Native mobile application used by franchise owners to manage inventory, scan products, and support day-to-day store operations.
The developer will work across the full technology stack, building front-end mobile functionality in React Native while developing and supporting back-end services and APIs in Node.js.
This role will involve integrating with PostgreSQL databases, creating and consuming REST APIs, and helping migrate data and functionality from the legacy platform to the new application.
The ideal candidate will have experience building and supporting production software, working within cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, and leveraging CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployments.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting barcode scanning and operational workflows, and contributing to infrastructure automation and application scalability as the platform continues to evolve.

Skills and Requirements
6-7+ years of experience in Software Development
3+ years of experience with React Native development experience building mobile applications for iOS and Android
React.js experience for web application development
Node.js backend development experience building and maintaining APIs
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
Experience building and consuming REST APIs
PostgreSQL (or similar relational database) experience
Cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
Strong communication skills Experience with barcode scanning, camera integration, or other mobile hardware features
Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications to newer platforms
Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Dynatrace or CloudWatch
Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures
QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), retail, inventory management, or franchise operations experience
