And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United.
Job Overview and Responsibilities Strategic sales leader of team responsible for implementing UA's sales strategy within a single country.
Oversees all segments/channels within the country to increase United's revenue, share and maximizing UA/JV profitability through strategic analysis, value creation, implementation of sales programs, new business development and ongoing account management.
Demonstrates understanding of the customer's travel patterns, key influencer priorities, and travel management practices.
Highly visible within the business travel and local community.
Proactively works with respective tourism bodies, industry partners where appropriate.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and measurement of the sales strategies for the country; and continuously assessing competition & marketplace risks and revising tactics as appropriate Also acts as legal representative in the country.
Maintain healthy, visible, and productive relationships with key distributors,



corporate and civic customers within the division, and effectively coordinate with JV and Star Alliance partners.
Liaison between the division and key headquarter departments like Scheduling, Legal, HR, Finance, among others.
Employee development/mentoring to further develop leadership and increase skills to make United a stronger competitor.
This position is offered on local terms and conditions.
Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country.
Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.
Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws.
In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.
