Job Position: Software Engineer (Contract)

Job Location: Remote - Colombia (hours overlapping US business hours required)

Classification: Independent Contractor, Full-Time Hours

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Are you a full-stack engineer who loves owning a feature from idea to production? As a Software Engineer (Contract) at Catch Coverage,



you'll build across our TypeScript/AWS platform — from serverless backend to modern frontend — and report directly to our Director of Engineering. You'll ship product features end-to-end with minimal hand-off friction, working closely with a collaborative engineering team and non-technical stakeholders who value your input. This is a 100% remote, contract opportunity open to engineers based in Latin America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, build, and ship full-stack features spanning serverless AWS (Amazon Web Services) backends (Lambda, API (Application Programming Interface) Gateway, Fargate) and React/Next.js frontends
• Own features end-to-end — from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Develop and test against synthetic/staging data sets that mirror production characteristics
• Collaborate asynchronously and cross-functionally with engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders to translate product requirements into working software
• Participate in archit
