Position Summary The Recruiter is responsible for supporting the organization's talent acquisition efforts by identifying, attracting, screening, and assisting with the hiring of qualified candidates. This position partners closely with Human Resources, department leaders, and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
The Recruiter will manage the recruitment process from job posting through offer acceptance while providing a professional and positive candidate experience. The adecuado candidate is organized, proactive, results-driven, and capable of recruiting for both technical and professional positions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with Human Resources and hiring managers to identify current and anticipated staffing needs.
- Develop and maintain job postings that accurately reflect position qualifications, responsibilities, and organizational expectations.
- Source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, professional associations, employee referrals, networking, recruiting platforms, career fairs, and other sourcing methods.
- Proactively identify and engage passive candidates.
- Review resumes and applications to determine candidate qualifications.
- Conduct initial phone or virtual screening interviews.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
- Conduct reference checks and support background screening processes when required.
- Assist hiring managers with evaluating candidate qualifications and making hiring recommendations.
- Prepare and coordinate employment offers in partnership with Human Resources and company leadership.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting documentation.
- Track recruiting activity, including open positions, candidate pipelines, interviews, offers, acceptance rates, and time-to-fill.
- Develop talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill and high-priority positions.
- Build relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools,
professional organizations, and other recruiting partners.
- Assist with career fairs, networking events, and other recruiting initiatives.
- Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding candidates, employees, compensation, and company information.
- Support onboarding and pre-employment activities as requested by Human Resources.
- Recommend improvements to recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and candidate experience.
- Perform other recruiting and Human Resources-related duties as assigned.
Recruitment Focus The Recruiter may be responsible for recruiting positions including, but not limited to:
- Professional Engineers (PE)
- Engineers-in-Training (EIT)
- Structural Engineers
- Mechanical Engineers
- Electrical Engineers
- Civil Engineers
- Project Managers
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control professionals
- Engineering technicians and designers
- Sales and business development professionals
- Administrative and corporate support personnel
- Leadership and management positions
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field; equivalent recruiting experience may be considered.
- Previous recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, or Human Resources experience.
- Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate professionally with candidates, employees, managers, and executives.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, recruiting platforms, applicant tracking systems, and online sourcing tools.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and appropriate recruiting practices.
- Languages : English advanced (C1) and Spanish
Preferred
- Experience recruiting engineering, architectural, construction, technical, or other professional-services positions.
- Experience recruiting Professional Engineers and other licensed professionals.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, or similar recruiting platforms.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems or HRIS platforms.
- Experience developing recruiting metrics and talent acquisition reports.
