Job Summary

We are seeking a resilient and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Transportation Operations team. The idóneo candidate will have 1+ year of overall logistics experience and strong communication skills, with experience supporting drivers and managing time-sensitive operational situations. Experience in freight brokerage, FTL operations, dispatch, or direct driver support is highly preferred.

This role is responsible for providing real-time support to drivers, coordinating re-dispatch and contingency situations, updating shipment information, processing customer requests, and ensuring accurate completion of daily transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide real-time support to drivers by handling calls and messages related to operational issues.
- Assist drivers with questions, route issues, delays, and other transportation-related situations.
- Manage route contingencies, including incomplete routes and delivery re-scheduling.
- Coordinate re-dispatch activities and reassign loads to available drivers when required.
- Collect and validate Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation at the end of each shift.
- Verify route completion and update load status and chassis usage information in the appropriate systems.
- Process customer instructions received through email and enter container movement or return requests into the system.




- Notify customers proactively about delivery delays caused by operational restrictions, terminal availability, or lack of appointments at rail facilities.
- Support the Accounting team by entering operational charges and rates according to established SOPs.
- Maintain accurate and timely operational records.
- Coordinate with drivers, customers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation execution.
- Identify operational issues and provide timely, practical solutions.
- Perform additional logistics and transportation duties as assigned.

Requirements

- 1+ year of overall experience in Logistics, Transportation, Dispatch, Freight Brokerage, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with drivers is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in Freight Brokerage or FTL operations is a strong plus.
- Experience with dispatching, load coordination, shipment tracking, or transportation operations is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of transportation documentation, including PODs.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several operational issues simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- English proficiency: B2–C1 (required).
