Senior Oracle Data Extraction Specialist (Oracle to OCI Migration)

Required – Technical Skills

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience working with Oracle Databases.

· Strong experience with Oracle Database 12c R1.

· Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development skills.

· Experience supporting Oracle On-Premise to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migration projects.

· Strong understanding of data structures, data relationships, and data validation processes.

· Experience performing data analysis and data extraction activities.

· Ability to analyze and understand business data to support testing, validation, and migration initiatives.

· Experience gathering, clarifying, and documenting business and technical requirements.

· Ability to validate extracted data and ensure data accuracy and completeness.

· Proven ability to independently manage requests and deliver results with minimal supervision.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Advanced English proficiency with the ability to lead technical discussions and requirements clarification sessions.

Nice to Have – Technical Skills

· Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

· Knowledge of Oracle migration methodologies and best practices.

· Experience with large-scale data migration and transformation projects.

· Familiarity with data reconciliation and migration validation frameworks.

· Experience working in enterprise-scale Oracle environments.





· Knowledge of data governance and data management practices.

· Experience supporting testing activities during cloud migration program

Responsibilities (Activities to be Performed)

· Support data extraction activities within an Oracle On-Premise to OCI migration program.

· Analyze Oracle databases, data models, and business processes to understand extraction requirements.

· Gather, review, and clarify business and technical requirements with stakeholders.

· Develop and execute complex SQL and PL/SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

· Perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation activities.

· Ensure extracted data meets quality and business requirements.

· Collaborate with technical leaders, project teams, and business stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.

· Investigate and resolve data-related issues, discrepancies, and risks.

· Document extraction logic, validation results, and migration artifacts.

· Track requests from intake through completion and ensure successful delivery.

· Communicate progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to stakeholders.

· Support testing and migration validation activities during OCI migration phases.

· Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned deliverables.
