Self-Contained Teacher who supports the holistic development of students and is able to lead a designated class by teaching multiple subject areas. The idóneo candidate will foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, aligned with the IB philosophy and learner profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess instruction across multiple subject areas for the same group of students, in alignment with the IB PYP framework.
- Design and implement inquiry-based, differentiated learning experiences that address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Promote a positive classroom climate grounded in respect, empathy, and restorative practices.
- Monitor student progress continuously and maintain effective, professional communication with families.
- Implement inclusive practices and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Adhere to and actively support the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Participate actively in academic meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to collaborative planning and reflection in line with IB best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Previous experience as a classroom teacher (preferably at the primary level).
- Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2) appropriate to the institutional and instructional context.
- Strong skills in planning, classroom management, and collaborative work.
- Demonstrated commitment to student well-being and holistic education.
- Familiarity with or willingness to be trained in the IB PYP.
