We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is passionate about data quality engineering and test automation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL testing, SQL, AWS, Python/PySpark, API testing, and CI/CD, with a focus on automating reliable validation across data pipelines and software services.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for ETL workflows, data pipelines, APIs, and software services.
- Validate source-to-target mappings, transformations, completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation using advanced SQL.
- Build scalable data-quality checks with ICEDQ, QuerySurge, Python, PySpark, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Test Informatica jobs and AWS-based data services across functional, integration, regression, and performance scenarios.
- Create risk-based test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability, defect reports, and release evidence.
- Integrate automated suites into Jenkins pipelines and manage test code, branches, and reviews in GitHub.
- Use Unix/Linux tools to investigate logs, data files,



job failures, environment issues, and pipeline behavior.
- Test REST APIs for contracts, payloads, authentication, error handling, data integrity, and downstream effects.
- Partner with developers, data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to improve testability and release quality.
- Apply sound software design practices to create reusable, maintainable, and observable test components.

Qualifications

- Experience as an SDET or Quality Engineer with hands-on ownership of data and software test automation.
- Strong SQL skills for complex joins, reconciliation, transformation validation, and root-cause analysis.
- Practical ETL testing experience with Informatica or comparable enterprise data integration tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services supporting data pipelines, storage, compute, integration, or monitoring.
- Proficiency in Python; PySpark experience for distributed data validation is highly relevant.
- Strong knowledge of test design and testing techniques across functional, integration, regression, negative, and risk-based testing.
- Experience with API testing, GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix/Linux environments.
- Clear professional English for technical collaboration and documentation.
- Preferred: Experience with ICEDQ, QuerySurge, or another dedicated data-testing automation platform.
- Preferred: AWS or software-testing certification; certification is not required.
