Principal Lattice Tower Detailer – 765kV HVAC Transmission

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full Time Principal Detailer - Transmission Tower Details (High Voltage) for our GCC Colombia office. Be involved in projects with our Energy Sector Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

The successful candidate is required to work within a multi-discipline team to design efficient and reliable 765 kV HVAC transmission transmission lattice towers and transmission lines. The engineer will coordinate their design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion. This position is accountable to provide all design activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of WSP's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

The Role

Serve as a Principal Detailer for high-voltage HVAC lattice transmission towers, supporting new tower designs, modifications, upgrades, rebuilds,



and asset replacement projects.

Develop and oversee detailed lattice tower models, fabrication drawings, assembly and erection drawings, member and connection details, bolt schedules, material bundle lists, and bills of material (BOM).

Prepare and validate design and construction deliverables, including 2D/3D CADD models, fabrication packages, construction drawings, and as-built documentation.

Use AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bocad, and other applicable detailing tools to develop accurate tower models and drawings.

Review engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and as-built information to ensure accurate detailing and identify design discrepancies.

Coordinate with transmission line and structural engineers, project teams, steel fabricators, contractors, and construction personnel to resolve technical, fabrication, and constructability issues.
