We are seeking an experienced OT/IT Security Mger to lead cybersecurity governance, security controls effectiveness, vulnerability management, and managed security services oversight for a strategic client in the energy sector.

This role will serve as the primary technical cybersecurity advisor, driving security maturity initiatives, coordinating internal and external security teams, and ensuring alignment with industry frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 .

Initial Requirements to Apply:

1️⃣ B2 English level or higher

2️⃣ Must reside in Colombia and have legal permission to work in the country.

3️⃣ 6+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity governance, security controls effectiveness, vulnerability management, and managed security services.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (mandatory).
- Technical cybersecurity certification (required).
- Proven experience (6+ years) managing cybersecurity programs, services, or security operations.

- Strong knowledge (4+ years)

of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 1.x and 2.0.

- Experience managing and improving security controls.
- Hands-on experience coordinating MSS/MSSP services.
- Strong technical leadership capabilities.
- Experience (4+ years) with vulnerability management programs and remediation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage executive stakeholders and communicate technical risks effectively.
- Experience (4+ years) creating executive reports, dashboards, and cybersecurity presentations.





Key Responsibilities

- Define, maintain, and evolve the cybersecurity controls roadmap aligned with NIST CSF 2.0 and identified maturity gaps.
- Functionally lead cybersecurity professionals responsible for vulnerability management, incident management, and security platforms.
- Coordinate and technically oversee Managed Security Services (MSS/MSSP) teams and service delivery.
- Review the technical quality and effectiveness of security controls and MSS deliverables, ensuring they provide real risk reduction and business value.
- Lead the vulnerability management program, including risk prioritization, remediation planning, and closure tracking.
- Identify security coverage gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives through new controls, configurations, and capabilities.
- Provide independent technical assessments and recommendations directly to client stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations on cybersecurity risks, controls, performance metrics, and maturity progress.
- Coordinate security initiatives across client teams, vendors, and managed service providers.
- Support strategic cybersecurity decision-making and security transformation initiatives.
