At ScotiaGBS, we’re looking for our next Business Analyst Compliance Specialist, someone who is passionate about helping people and ready to build a meaningful career in a multicultural environment.

What will you do?

- Partner with SMEs, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, review processes and system components, and ensure alignment with compliance, governance, and control expectations.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify goals, regulatory obligations, process updates, and policy changes.
- Translate regulatory requirements, business needs, and technical considerations into clear, actionable deliverables, documentation, and controls
- Assess control effectiveness across business processes, identify compliance gaps or risks, and support remediation by partnering with control owners to design and monitor corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic reviews for adherence to AML, privacy, operational risk, data governance, and other regulatory requirements, while performing risk assessments,



regulatory impact analyses, and readiness reviews for new or evolving initiatives.
- Provide consultative review of business processes and solution designs by identifying risks, recommending appropriate control options, and aligning recommendations with delivery timelines.
- Support the development of automated reporting workflows and more efficient intake or operational models to enhance overall process effectiveness.
- Contribute to the maturation of governance frameworks—including data governance, records management, and operational risk practices—by aligning improvements with enterprise standards.
