The region continues to face complex health challenges, including infectious
disease threats,



gaps in public health surveillance and laboratory systems,
health workforce constraints, migration-related health needs, maternal and child
health challenges, and disparities in access to quality health services. At the
same time, evolving donor priorities create opportunities to strengthen health
security, disease prevention and response, health systems, laboratory capacity,
workforce development, and locally led approaches.
