Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.A Day in the LifeThe Compliance Specialist - AI Governance & Privacy Operations will support Medtronic's AI governance program by assessing AI solutions, identifying risks, and partnering with global stakeholders to promote the compliant and responsible use of AI across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing strategic function while collaborating with business, legal, privacy, compliance, and technology teams worldwide.This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, and follows a hybrid work model.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Conduct AI Assessments for Business Use, evaluating AI solutions for governance, privacy, compliance, security, transparency, accountability, and responsible AI considerationsReview AI use cases, models, tools, and third-party AI solutions to identify risks and applicable governance requirementsPartner with Privacy, Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Data Governance, and business stakeholders to evaluate and mitigate AI-related risksAssess third-party vendors and external partners as part of AI and privacy risk assessment activitiesDocument assessment outcomes, risk analyses, recommendations, and governance requirementsSupport remediation efforts and track risk mitigation actions through closureAssist with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Third-Party Risk Assessments (TPRAs), and related privacy governance activitiesSupport continuous improvement of AI governance frameworks, assessment methodologies, and operational processesMonitor emerging AI technologies, regulations, standards, and industry best practicesPrepare reports, metrics, and presentations related to AI assessment activities and governance program effectivenessRequired Knowledge and Experience:Bachelor's Degree required; Law Degree strongly preferredExperience in compliance, privacy, risk management, governance, legal, data protection, technology risk, AI governance, or related fieldsExperience conducting risk assessments, compliance reviews, governance evaluations, privacy assessments, or similar activitiesFamiliarity with AI governance, AI risk assessment, responsible AI principles,



and emerging AI technologies.Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations (e.G., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPEDA, or PIPL) and AI governance frameworks is preferredExperience with governance, risk, and compliance platforms such as OneTrust, ServiceNow, Archer, LogicGate, or similar toolsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business and compliance risksAbility to work effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teamsStrong verbal and written communication skills English proficiency at B2 level or abovePhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and adaptable Benefits Package A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
