Job Description
Your Role
As a Transport Network Operations Specialist (N1.5), you will provide advanced technical support for transport networks, performing complex diagnostics, alarm correlation and authorised remote recovery actions. You will play a key role in bridging N1 operations with N2/N3 escalation teams, ensuring high-impact incidents are resolved efficiently and thoroughly.
In this role you will play a key role in:
Analysing and diagnosing incidents escalated by N1 teams, validating severity, scope,



topology and network impact to determine the appropriate course of actionCorrelating alarms and events across transport network layers to identify primary alarms and root causes, with a focus on WDM/DWDM and SDH technologies and Huawei and Nokia equipmentReviewing and interpreting network performance parameters including Tx/Rx optical power, BER, Q-factor, interface and card status, and protection mechanism healthCoordinating resolution activities with N2/N3 engineers, Huawei and Nokia vendors, and field teams, ensuring clear communication throughout the incident lifecycleSupporting N1 technicians through technical guidance, checklist development and knowledge transfer, while contributing to documentation, RCA preparation and continuous improvement initiatives
