What You Can Expect
This position is responsible for leading our global lease accounting team. This position requires the successful candidate to work with business and accounting teams across the world to account for their leases. This position requires strong accounting and research skills, and attention to detail.
The position will work closely with a Lease Accountant to perform lease accounting for a portfolio of approximately 1,500 leases.
How You'll Create Impact
Oversees the company’s lease accounting processes consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Research GAAP, as required, for complex lease accounting transactions.
Maintains the company’s lease accounting software, including chart of account maintenance within the system.
Work with Finance and Real Estate teams on forecasting and lease versus buy decisions.
Review lease extraction setup performed by Lease Accountant in company’s lease accounting software.
Perform monthly close and account reconciliation duties.
Maintain effective accounting controls and procedures in compliance with SOX 404 and Zimmer Corporate Policy.
