The Sourcing Specialist is responsible to implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to their assigned portfolio to maximize supplier performance (cost, quality, lead time) and support the business plan in the GeoUnit.
Qualifications
- Studies: Professional in Engineering, International commerce & logistics, Procurement and sourcing, Business Administration, Economics.
- Experience: More than 7 years of experience in Logistics and supply of the oil industry, sourcing processes and tenders with suppliers of companies in the Oil and Gas sector. Knowledge in the ARIBA system.
- English level: Advanced written and conversational English
- Fluent in Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Execute sourcing plans that secure supply and minimize supply chain disruptions, in accordance with category sourcing strategies.
- Lead and execute the request for information, quotation or proposal and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality,
delivery and total cost of ownership.
- Lead the supplier evaluation and selection processes in coordination with Quality standards and Supplier Managers
- Will have to have excellent communication in both Spanish and English to have conversations with suppliers and internal clients. Portuguese is a nice to have.
- Have to look for suppliers that can give services and products to the company.
- Needs to negotiate prices of products and services, as well as contracts with the suppliers.
- Needs to know what kind of contracts and contractual clauses are better for each situation (will not be responsible to CREATE contract, but to give the guidance on which conditions to add).
- Needs to make professional presentations of results, commercial impact and achievements to internal clients.
