AWS IoT Solutions Architect at BairesDev
In this role, you'll own the technical direction for a cloud platform serving connected devices, starting with an honest assessment of whether migrating to AWS is the right call at all versus hardening what already exists on GCP. Designing a four-tier access model and making build-vs-buy calls on IoT ingestion, authentication, and billing, you'll balance strict security requirements with hard per-message cost constraints. acting as the trusted voice on security questions from enterprise customers while designing a platform meant to be reused across future product lines, not a one-off.
What You'll Do
Assess current cloud architecture and produce a target AWS architecture and migration plan, including an honest recommendation on whether migration is the right choice.
Design IoT platform architecture on AWS, including MQTT ingestion and device fleet management.
Make build-vs-buy decisions on AWS IoT Core, managed authentication, and third-party billing.
Design a multi-tier access model supporting different user roles across the platform.
Architect for SOC 2 security requirements and act as the client-facing expert on security questions.
Design the platform for reuse across future product lines, not as a one-off solution.
