Role Overview

As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, performance, and
security of their database environments. As part of the infrastructure and DB Team, you will
manage both development and production databases, working to ensure availability, integrity,
and efficiency across our systems. You will implement initiatives to support the growth and
proper functioning of the business, ensuring that database operations scale effectively and align
with organizational goals. This role is adecuado for a mid-level professional looking to deepen their




skills in managing relational and non-relational databases and supporting mission-critical
applications in a regulated or high-performance setting like FinTech.

What you will do
- Manage and maintain databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB in
production and development environments.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize speed and
reliability.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks including indexing, performance optimization and patching.
- Support database security practices including access controls, encryption, and audits.
- Help implement disaster recovery plans and high-availability solutions.
- Assist in designing and updating schemas, stored procedures, and queries in collaboration
with development teams.
- Participate in database deployments as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor logs, alerts, and usage trends, and respond to incidents as needed.
