ABOUT THE BUSINESS AREA/DEPARTMENT:

operates hundreds of thousands of flights per year must bring their fair chair

average system response time of less than 0.3 seconds.

The DBAaaS entity (DBA-as-a-Service) aims at providing database administration
expertise and support to applications within Amadeus, in a follow-the-sun
organization.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

The MariaDB Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for ensuring the
deployment, maintenance, performance,



integrity and security of a MariaDB
database platform, on behalf of the applications relying onto. He / She / They
assist(s) the application Software Reliability Engineers on all aspects relating
to MariaDB operations, partners closely with System Engineering colleagues
regarding Linux-related activities, as well as Research & Development
counterparts for offering best possible database performances.

IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL:

* Plan & deploy database clusters, supporting multi-Terabytes workloads, with a
strong emphasis on high-availability and fault-tolerance (including
multi-site high-availability whenever required).

* Ensure that storage, archiving, as well as backup & recovery procedures are
operating correctly, including in disaster recovery situations.

* Maintain & upgrade database clusters, to comply with appropriate patch level,
kernel patching and security standards (PCIDSS compliancy and vulnerabil
