Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Freight Broker to manage and grow key customer accounts while ensuring the successful execution of freight operations. This role requires someone who can build strong client relationships, oversee the entire shipment lifecycle, and provide exceptional service from booking to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of FTL and Reefer shipments, ensuring all loads are covered and delivered on time.
- Source, develop, and maintain a reliable carrier network while negotiating competitive rates and service agreements.
- Monitor shipment progress, provide proactive updates, and resolve service issues, delays, and exceptions efficiently.
- Handle cargo claims, carrier disputes, and operational challenges to minimize disruptions and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies,
customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and increase shipment volume through strategic account management.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams while managing multiple priorities.
- Stay informed on market trends, freight rates, and industry best practices to support strategic pricing and operational decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation management.
- Experience with freight platforms such as DAT, Truckstop, and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong background managing customer accounts and freight operations.
- Extensive knowledge of Reefer and Full Truckload (FTL) transportation.
- Experience handling freight claims and operational issue resolution.
