1.1 The Medical Doctor (Part-Time, Remote) serves as a wellness-focused physician providing virtual consultations and clinical guidance to clients. In this adaptable 10-15 hour/week role, you will develop personalized health plans, oversee remote health screenings, and support patients in making sustainable lifestyle changes as part of a multidisciplinary wellness team.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Virtual Consultations: Provide one-on-one telehealth consultations to assess patient health, review medical history, and address health concerns in a preventive, holistic manner.
2.2 Health Screenings Oversight: Oversee and interpret results of general health screenings (e.g., blood work, vital signs) conducted remotely, ensuring patients understand their health metrics and next steps.
2.3 Personalized Wellness Planning: Create and advise on individualized health plans tailored to each patient’s needs - including nutrition, exercise, stress management,
and other lifestyle modifications - and adjust plans based on progress.
2.4 Patient Education & Support: Offer guidance and education on preventive care strategies and wellness best practices, empowering patients with knowledge for long-term health. Support and motivate patients to adhere to recommended lifestyle changes through regular follow-ups and check-ins.
2.5 Collaboration: Collaborate remotely with other wellness professionals (e.g., fitness coaches, nutritionists) to ensure a comprehensive, team-based approach to patient care and optimal wellness outcomes.
2.6 Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records for all consultations and recommendations, following applicable privacy regulations and telehealth best practices.
