What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient, and dynamic professional to take up the role of Regional Security Adviser for Latin America. This role is responsible for developing, evaluating and monitoring NRC’s regional security risk management approach in accordance with general standards, with an overall objective to enable the delivery of a safe and principled humanitarian response.

While NRC has largely been successful with regards to delivering assistance to people in need,



security and access constraints pose a challenge to humanitarian operations across the region. Conflict and violence, environmental and physical challenges, bureaucratic obstacles, interference in humanitarian operations, are all obstacles to delivery of services and protection to displacement affected people. The Regional HAS Adviser plays a fundamental role in security risk management, in capacity building of HAS colleagues and country management, as well as in operationalizing Duty of Care and humanitarian access strategies across the region.
