The Tier 2 Cyber Security Analyst serves as the primary escalation point for complex threats, leading advanced forensic investigations and proactive threat-hunting initiatives. You will drive operational excellence by refining incident response playbooks and validating detection mechanisms through continuous testing and simulations. This role is pivotal in strengthening organizational resilience by managing the full incident lifecycle and converting lessons learned into robust security controls.
Main Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Manage the full incident lifecycle for Tier 1 escalations, from detection and triage to containment, remediation, and recovery.
- Advanced Analysis: Perform deep-dive forensic analysis and proactive threat hunting to identify and progress complex cybersecurity investigations.
- Vulnerability Management: Assess and mitigate technical vulnerabilities within ICT systems and security controls.
- Process Optimization: Develop, maintain, and improve the Incident Response Plan, including playbooks, runbooks, and knowledge base documentation.
- Readiness & Testing: Design and execute incident simulations and exercises to validate and strengthen detection and response mechanisms.
- Reporting & Governance: Document investigations and produce technical reports, metrics, and lessons learned to support risk and compliance requirements.
- Collaboration: Act as a technical escalation point and collaborate with SOC, CSIRT, and internal security teams during high-priority activities.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Cyber Security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
