Our firm, Central Florida Immigration Attorneys, PLLC, is looking for a dedicated on-site translator to be part of our team.
Skills and Requirements:
- Great at organizing, prioritizing and time management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Maintain information discovered in documents confidential
- Sensitivity to different cultures and social backgrounds
- MUST BE FULLY BILINGUAL in English and Spanish, speaking, writing, and reading.:
- Proficiency using translation memory software
- Willing to improve and open to feedback
- Ability to read and understand the concept of the document and convey it with grammar sense in the translated document.
- High School diploma or equivalent; AA or BA preferred
- Able to work independently and without multiple corrections
- Document translation experience - 1 year
Responsibilities and qualifications:
- Create written translations of documents from Spanish to English
- Do not copy-paste from Google Translate or any translation software
- Able to work under pressure and with deadlines
- Must translate documents, messages, letters, and/or any other evidence within a legal context in a timely fashion
- Ability to do research for cultural reference
- Self-Review work product before completing task
- Edit/modify documents already in English language
The position is part time and in contract bases. Hybrid, office and remotely.
