Account Manager Sr
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a very senior Account Manager with strong knowledge and experience in the logistics industry. This person will take ownership of an assigned portfolio of clients, manage day-to-day client needs, identify opportunities for account growth, and work closely with an operations team to ensure accounts are properly supported. We should prioritize candidates who are truly senior and have deep logistics knowledge, rather than candidates who simply hold the Account Manager title.

Roles & Responsibilities

Account Leadership

• Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts as the primary point of contact

• Grow existing accounts: identify new lanes, added volume,



and service expansion opportunities

• Lead recurring account reviews with customers covering performance, pricing, and upcoming needs

• Handle escalations end to end and keep customers ahead of problems, not reacting to them

Operations

• Direct daily brokerage operations: carrier booking, load coverage, tracking, and exception management

• Build and maintain a reliable carrier network on your lanes, negotiating rates that protect margin

• Own TMS data integrity for your accounts (entries, statuses, documentation)

• Oversee carrier invoice review, POD collection, and clean handoff to billing, resolving discrepancies before they hit the customer

KPI Ownership

• Own account-level KPIs: on-time pickup/delivery, tender acceptance, margin per load, claims ratio, and invoice accuracy

• Report performance trends internally and flag at-risk accounts early with a plan, not just a warning
