Construction Estimator / Insulation Takeoff Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Construction Estimator / Insulation Takeoff Specialist to take complete ownership of turning architectural plans into accurate material takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposal-ready deliverables for Superfoam.

In this seat, you will take the end-to-end estimating workflow off the leadership team's plate—analyzing construction blueprints, performing precise quantity takeoffs in PlanSwift, applying established costing methodologies, and preparing finalized deliverables for seamless handoff to the sales team. Managing an initial volume of approximately 25–50 project takeoffs per month, you will serve as the primary owner of estimate accuracy, ensuring turnaround times are met while building a reliable, repeatable process that scales with business growth.





Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Plan Review & Quantity Takeoffs

Blueprint Interpretation: Review architectural drawings, structural details, and project specifications to determine precise project scopes and insulation requirements.

PlanSwift Takeoffs: Perform accurate, detailed digital quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift, calculating precise square footages, dimensions, and material requirements across spray foam, blown-in, batt, and specialty insulation systems.

Scope Identification: Identify correct product types, assemblies, and thermal barrier specifications required for each residential or custom home project.

2. Cost Estimating & Proposal Preparation

Cost Methodology Application: Translate completed takeoff data into Superfoam’s established costing models within Google Sheets and Handoff.
