Mission

Own the reliability, security, and deployment automation of Trampetti’s Microsoft-based platform as we build our own production-grade automation + AI infrastructure. You will establish secure-by-default cloud foundations on Azure, implement repeatable CI/CD with rollback, reduce spend, and run the infrastructure primitives required for RAG systems used by our automations.

This is a platform-building role: your job is to turn what engineering is building into something that is deployable, observable, secure, and repeatable across environments and clients.

Non-negotiable outcomes (first 60-90 days)
- Platform security baseline live:
- Least-privilege identity model (Microsoft Entra ID + RBAC), hardened network boundaries, secrets centralized + rotated (Key Vault), audit trail + retention, backup/restore tested.




- No manual production edits:
- CI/CD for infra + platform services + workflows with rollback and strict environment separation (dev/stage/prod).
- Observability + incident process:
- Dashboards, alerts, SLOs, runbooks, postmortems, and corrective action tracking.
- Cost down, uptime up:
- Measurable cost controls + stability improvements (budgets, alerts, right-sizing, autoscaling, reserved/spot strategy where appropriate).
- RAG infrastructure operational:
- Vector storage + ingestion pipeline + retrieval evaluation in place, with predictable quality, latency, and cost.

Core responsibilities

1) Azure platform ownership (Microsoft-first)
- Design and operate production infrastructure on Azure (AKS / Azure Container Apps / App Service / VMs as appropriate), including VNets, private networking, firewalling, load balancing, logging, and access controls.
