Pink and Green Landscape & Irrigation is hiring an experienced estimator for a full-time remote position.

This is NOT an entry-level position. Professional construction estimating experience is required.

COMPENSATION

$2,700/month base salary + 1% commission of profit on every bid you prepare that becomes an awarded job.

We are looking for someone who does more than prepare estimates. You will build relationships with General Contractor estimators, follow up on your bids, make revisions, and help turn bids into awarded projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will manage your bids from the time we receive the plans until the project is awarded or closed.

Landscape Estimating

- Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
- Complete accurate landscape takeoffs
- Calculate quantities and obtain pricing
- Build detailed estimate and pricing sheets
- Prepare and submit complete bids

Irrigation Estimating

- Coordinate with our outside irrigation estimating company
- Review their takeoffs and pricing
- Incorporate irrigation pricing into the complete proposal

CLIENT & BID FOLLOW-UP

A major part of this position is working directly with the estimators for General Contractors.

After submitting a bid, you are responsible for following that bid through the entire process.

Every Thursday, you will follow up on every open bid.

You will contact the GC estimator to find out:

- How is our bid looking?
- Is our pricing competitive?
- Is anything missing?
- Does anything need to be revised?
- Are there changes or addendums?
- When do they expect to award the project?

You must be comfortable going back and forth with GC estimators, making revisions, answering questions, rebidding when necessary, and continuing to follow up until we know whether the project was awarded.

Submitting the bid is only the beginning of the job.

WEEKLY BID GOAL: $1,000,000





The expectation is approximately $1 million in bids every week, including new bids, revised bids, and rebids.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- Previous professional construction estimating experience
- Construction estimating and takeoffs
- Reading blueprints, plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Takeoff/estimating software
- Procore
- Landscape quantity takeoffs
- Excel/Google Sheets
- Building detailed estimates and pricing sheets
- Managing multiple bids and deadlines
- Communicating professionally with General Contractors and clients
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Excellent written and spoken English

We are specifically looking for someone who already understands the construction bidding process and can work independently.

POSITION STRUCTURE

You will report directly to Jennifer Salgado, our Landscape Project Manager.

Pink and Green has multiple remote employees in Colombia. Our remote team works together throughout the day through our Discord virtual office. You must be comfortable being online, available, and communicating with the team throughout working hours.

PAID VACATION

1st Year: 40 hours

2nd Year: 80 hours

3rd Year+: 120 hours
