You’ll join an international project focused on application migration , collaborating with a Canadian fintech client and distributed teams. The initial focus of the project will be migrating applications from an older version of Node. js that is approaching end of support to a newer, supported version . After the migration is completed, you’ll continue working with the team, providing ongoing support and maintenance for the applications running on the new Node. js version . The main technology stack is Node. js for the backend, MongoDB for storage, and React for the frontend . This opportunity is ideal for a senior developer who can bring strong Node. js expertise , proactively identify potential issues, and take ownership of technical challenges throughout the migration and post-migration phases. What You'll Lead and Build - Contribute to the migration and modernization of existing applications . - Upgrade applications from an older Node. js version to a newer, supported version . - Identify and resolve compatibility issues, dependencies, and technical challenges related to the Node. js upgrade. - Provide ongoing support and maintenance after the migration , working with the applications in the new Node. js environment. - Develop and maintain backend solutions using Node. js . - Work with MongoDB for data storage. - Develop and maintain frontend applications using React .
