Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst to work directly with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, you will play a critical part in guiding the financial strategy, operational analysis, and fiscal performance of our skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The idóneo candidate possesses deep experience in the healthcare sector—specifically within nursing home or post-acute care operations—and brings strong expertise in reimbursement models, census-driven financial analytics, and executive-level reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Financial Analytics & Reporting: Partner with the CFO to prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages, board presentations, and executive summaries highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).Operational & Healthcare Analysis: Analyze census metrics, payer mix shifts (Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay, Managed Care), per-diem revenue trends, and nursing department labor costs (including direct care staffing ratios and overtime).Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual facility-level budgeting process and maintain rolling financial forecasts, variance analyses, and cash flow projections across multiple operational units.Cost Center & Labor Management: Monitor departmental expenditures, vendor contracts, supply costs, and labor utilization relative to patient acuity and regulatory staffing mandates.Regulatory & Reimbursement Tracking:
Analyze the impact of Medicare (e.G., PDPM) and state Medicaid rate changes, reimbursement updates, and compliance requirements on revenue realization.Process Improvement & Financial Modeling: Develop scalable financial models, dashboard tools, and scenario analyses to support strategic expansion, capital allocation, and operational efficiencies.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Healthcare Administration; Master’s (MBA/MHA) or professional certification (CFA/CPA) preferred.Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive financial analysis experience specifically within the healthcare industry, with direct experience in nursing home, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or long-term care environments required.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex financial modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions) and financial reporting/ERP software; experience with healthcare analytics platforms is a strong plus.Domain Knowledge: Firm understanding of healthcare accounting practices, Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement structures, and healthcare labor cost management.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable executive insights for the CFO and operational leadership.#J-18808-Ljbffr
