We are expanding our global team and looking for Onboarding Manager to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.
Would you like to take on a new challenge in the field of Customer Experience in a successful, fast-growing global start-up?
Location: Remote
Salary Range: Flexible
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the client's dedicated contact for the duration of the onboarding, from the new sale, upsell or expansion handover through to confirmed registration of the employee and formal handover to the Customer Success team.
- Handover Review & Acceptance: Review incoming onboarding requests from the Sales, Customer Success and Partnerships teams for completeness and compliance with country-specific requirements, accepting them or returning them with clear remediation instructions.
- Contract & Document Execution: Own the end-to-end document lifecycle for each new employee - preparing and quality-assuring employment agreements, scopes of work and supporting documentation using approved templates, ensuring local legal compliance, managing client review and negotiation, executing signature on the company's behalf, and filing executed documents to the required standard.
- Statutory Registration & Accountant Coordination: Coordinate with external accounting partners and internal teams to complete the employee's statutory registration in the country of employment, providing the required documentation and following through to confirmation.
- Payroll & Finance Inputs: Submit accurate and timely payroll and finance inputs for each new employee, observing monthly cut-off deadlines and resolving queries so that payroll runs correctly from the outset.
- Client Education & Demos: Conduct platform demonstrations and clearly explain EOR policies, liabilities and local labor nuances to manage client expectations.
- Internal Coordination: Act as liaison between internal teams - including Finance, Legal and Payroll - notifying them at every milestone to ensure the process moves smoothly without bottlenecks.
- Meeting Facilitation: Join client meetings and kick-off calls as requested to provide expertise and troubleshoot onboarding roadblocks.
- Case Management & Handover: Maintain accurate and current records across the company's CRM and task management systems, manage paused or unsuccessful cases through to resolution or documented closure, and formally hand the account over to the Customer Success team once onboarding is complete.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years in customer onboarding, client implementations, HR operations, or account management—preferably within an Employer of Record (EOR), Professional Employer Organization (PEO), global payroll, or HR tech company.
- Document Management: Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and managing employment agreements, scopes of work (SOWs), and legal addendums.
- Project & Case Management: Track record of managing multi-stakeholder workflows, meeting strict deadlines (e.g., payroll cut-offs), and maintaining accurate records in CRMs and project tools.
- Client Education & Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver platform demos, present to external clients,
and translate complex legal/payroll concepts into clear guidance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to navigate internal matrix teams—acting as a bridge between Legal, Payroll, Finance, and Customer Success.
- Detail Orientation & Quality Assurance: High level of accuracy when checking compliance documents and preparing payroll/finance data inputs.
- Problem-Solving & Remediation: Ability to manage stalled cases, address client objections, and resolve complex onboarding roadblocks independently.
