Responsibilities: As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases. You will install database management systems and develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.
Providing solutions to problems within your immediate team and across multiple teams is a critical part of this role. Advanced proficiency in Database Management is required. Advanced proficiency in Database Activity Monitoring, Database Optimization & Tuning, and Database Performance Management is suggested.
Lead efforts to enhance database reliability and security by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
Analyze complex database issues and develop strategic plans to improve system performance and scalability.
Support and mentor colleagues by sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with overall project goals and business needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize database operations and reduce downtime.
