GENERAL MANAGER – MULTI-COMPANY OPERATIONS
Bogotá, Colombia | Full-Time | On-Site
USD $4,000/month + Quarterly Performance Bonuses
We are looking for an exceptional General Manager to help lead the next stage of growth for three U.S.-based service companies:
- Unicorn Moving & Storage
- Bluepoint Moving & Logistics
- Unicorn Property Services
Unicorn Moving & Storage will be the primary focus. Bluepoint and Unicorn Home Services are smaller, growing companies supported by the same leadership team and shared resources.
THE ROLE
This is a true manager-of-managers position based in our Bogotá office. You will directly lead four department heads:
- Sales Manager — Bogotá
- Customer Experience Manager — Bogotá
- Accounting Manager — Bogotá
- Operations Manager — Austin, Texas
Your mission is to build a high-performing leadership team, create accountability across departments, and ensure that decisions and problems are handled at the appropriate level—giving ownership the freedom to focus on strategy, partnerships, and growth.
We are not looking for an advisor who simply identifies problems. We need a hands-on leader who creates clarity, develops solutions, makes decisions, and follows through until the desired result is achieved.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Lead, coach, and hold all four department managers accountable.
- Establish clear KPIs, priorities, deadlines, and operating standards.
- Lead daily management alignment and weekly EOS-style leadership meetings.
- Ensure Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, and Accounting operate as one connected team.
- Resolve cross-department challenges and eliminate communication gaps.
- Make day-to-day management decisions within established authority.
- Provide ownership with concise updates, reliable information, and clear recommendations.
- Step into leadership gaps when necessary while developing managers to independently lead their departments.
- Build shared systems and identify opportunities across all three companies.
MANAGING AUSTIN OPERATIONS The Austin Operations Manager owns the physical execution of moving operations, including dispatch, crews, trucks, warehouse readiness, safety, and job-day decisions.
You will lead this manager remotely through clear expectations, daily communication, performance scorecards, and consistent accountability. You will ensure that operational issues are investigated, assigned, corrected, and followed through to completion.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A proven leader with experience successfully managing other managers.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies and distributed teams.
- Strong operational, financial, and commercial judgment.
- Confidence overseeing Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, and Accounting.
- The ability to manage an on-site operational leader remotely through data, communication, and accountability.
- A decisive, organized, emotionally intelligent, and highly accountable leadership style.
- Someone who develops leaders without doing their jobs for them.
- Someone who takes ownership, closes loops, and brings solutions—not just problems.
- Experience in moving, logistics, transportation, home services, hospitality, BPO operations, or another fast-moving service business is strongly preferred.
- EOS experience and the ability to travel periodically to Austin are preferred.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Every department manager clearly understands and owns their responsibilities.
- Routine issues are resolved without unnecessary ownership involvement.
- The Bogotá and Austin teams operate as one coordinated organization.
- Sales, customer experience, operational performance, and financial reporting improve quarter after quarter.
- Leadership meetings consistently produce decisions, owners, deadlines, and completed actions.
COMPENSATION
- USD $4,000 monthly salary.
- Quarterly bonus opportunities tied to each department’s established KPIs.
- As Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, and Accounting improve, your earning opportunity grows.
TO APPLY
Please submit your résumé and a brief introduction answering these questions:
1. Which managers and departments have reported directly to you?
2. Tell us about an underperforming department or operation you helped turn around.
3. How would you manage an Austin field operation from Bogotá without taking over the Operations Manager’s responsibilities?
If you are energized by developing leaders, creating accountability, and helping growing companies become great organizations, we would love to meet you.
