? Role Overview The position is a key member of the accounting team and will report directly to the Tax Manager. The Tax Accountant will have ambition, energy, and expertise to advise and assist in all tax-related items for the Company. The position will collaborate with both third-party tax advisors and internal teams to ensure all tax compliance targets are met.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn Tax Accountant who will assist in implementing tax procedures and calculating tax liabilities and accruals. We are seeking a self-starter with good problem-solving skills to help us adapt in a continuously changing tax environment.
? Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating compliance with international, national, and local tax regulations.
- Support the preparation and administration of federal, state, and foreign tax returns.
- Maintain communication with external tax advisors and accountants to ensure accurate tax provision and filings.
- Respond to and support tax inquiries and audits, including federal, state, and international tax matters.
- Calculate tax liability accruals during month-end close.
- Monitor tax return and payment deadlines, ensuring all required documentation is submitted on time.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to gather and analyze financial data supporting tax compliance.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives with accounting, legal, and international teams to support tax planning strategies.
? A Day in the Life
On a typical day,
you will act as the main point of contact for external tax service providers, providing the necessary financial information for tax provisions and returns.
You will
- Calculate monthly tax accruals
- Prepare sales and use tax returns through Avalara
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of tax-related GL accounts
- Work closely with accounting, legal, and other internal teams to gain a deep understanding of the business and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
