Job Title: Software Engineer – Front-End (React/JavaScript)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining customer-facing web applications. The idóneo candidate will have strong front-end expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks, a passion for building scalable and reliable user experiences, and experience collaborating across cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

This role primarily focuses on developing the web checkout and wishlist experience, with occasional backend development in Java. You'll work on high-traffic, business-critical applications where performance, reliability, and customer experience are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and collaborate with local and partner engineering teams across Checkout, Wishlist, and adjacent platform teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and development activities.
- Design, develop,



and maintain high-quality front-end features using modern web technologies.
- Build reusable UI components that can be shared across multiple web applications.
- Translate business requirements, wireframes, and UX designs into production-ready code.
- Deliver maintainable, scalable, and well-tested software solutions.
- Design and execute automated testing, including:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- Functional testing
- End-to-end testing
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Apply secure coding best practices, including protection against common web vulnerabilities such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).
- Instrument applications with metrics, dashboards, alerts, and monitoring.
- Understand how UI changes impact backend systems and overall conversion metrics.
