About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of a growing Australian business. This role is adecuado for a qualified accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling transactions, and ensuring the integrity of accounting data.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping activities, with a strong focus on account and bank reconciliations. Experience with Xero is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping activities.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure data integrity.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation as required.




Maintain compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and financial procedures.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information is maintained.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Demonstrated experience performing high-volume reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience using Xero accounting software.
