Job Description

The Health and Safety Support Technologist is responsible for assisting in the implementation of occupational health and safety programs, training sessions, and compliance with H&S; (SG-SST) processes, including logistical coordination, documentation management, and ensuring timely adherence to SST protocols.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform and support the logistical coordination of occupational health and safety (SST) training sessions.
- Lead active breaks and support initiatives that promote a healthy, balanced, and positive work environment.
- Maintain updated records of activities and assist in data collection for compliance reporting.
- Provide support in the distribution, tracking, and collection of mandatory documents and forms, ensuring timely signature and return.
- Monitor compliance with OHS requirements, including tracking indicators, updating risk matrices, and supporting ad hoc tasks such as environmental measurements and H&S; compliance monitoring.




- Performance monitoring and support for the Workplace Coexistence Committee (CCL) and Occupational Health and Safety Committee (COPASST).
- Assist in reporting and investigating work-related incidents and accidents, as well as in activating emergency protocols and supporting the organization and execution of emergency drills.
- Conduct follow-up on reported health cases, including notification, documentation, scheduling, and authorization of medical exams.
- Schedule occupational medical exams following current regulations, maintain an up-to-date archive of them, and follow up on pending exams and recommendations issued by the occupational health provider.
- Collaborate on the annual planning and execution of SST initiatives, as well as the implementation of improvements to the SG-SST.
- Provide operational and administrative support in all related activities.
