Position Overview
The Accounting Support Specialist is a finance-focused professional responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a U.S.based client.
This is not a general administrative role, it requires strong attention to detail, financial discipline, and comfort working with numbers and structured processes.
A precise, reliable, and financially-minded professional is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting Support
- Process and verify vendor invoices,
ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Manage reimbursement tracking and documentation
- Assist with expense categorization and ledger maintenance
- Perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies
- Support monthly and quarterly financial closing processes
- Prepare financial summaries and reports for review
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation
Financial Controls & Accuracy
- Ensure timely execution of payments according to established procedures
- Monitor due dates and cash flow coordination
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal financial policies
- Identify inconsistencies and proactively communicate issues
- Support audit preparation and financial reviews
Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate records within accounting software
- Improve tracking systems for invoices, payments, and reim
