JA Coffee is looking for a Senior Finance & Market Analyst to support our growing finance and coffee trading operations.

This is a hybrid role combining financial operations, accounting support, market analysis, and commodity hedging. We are looking for someone with a strong finance or accounting foundation who also has experience or exposure to financial markets, futures, derivatives, FX, or commodity risk management.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and issue customer invoices and ensure accurate billing
- Support accounts receivable, payment follow-up, and payment application
- Support accounts payable and supplier payment processing
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping activities
- Assist with month-end reporting and financial analysis
- Support inventory and financial reconciliations
- Prepare cash flow, exposure, and management reports
- Monitor coffee futures markets and relevant market movements
- Maintain and reconcile physical coffee and futures positions
- Track hedge positions, market exposure, differentials, and foreign exchange exposure
- Support the execution and reconciliation of hedging transactions based on company policies and management instructions
- Work closely with our finance, sourcing, and commercial teams in Canada and Colombia




- Support additional financial analysis and operational projects as required

Qualifications

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Approximately 4+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, markets, or a related role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliations
- Experience with futures, derivatives, financial markets, foreign exchange, or commodity hedging
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Experience in commodities, agriculture, import/export, banking, energy, or trading environments is a strong asset
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
- Fluent professional English is required
