US-Facing Legal Operations Specialist — Corporate & Finance Support

We’re looking for a hands-on Legal Operations Specialist to support a growing US-facing company on a project basis.

The founder is currently still handling a significant amount of the operational work related to entities, vendors, accounts, documentation, filings, and follow-ups. We’re looking for someone who has already managed this type of workflow in a US-facing legal or corporate environment and can take ownership of it.

This is an operations role — not a legal advisory role, not a tax advisory role, and not a general administrative or call-center position.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help organize, manage, and move forward the company’s legal and corporate operations, including:

- Maintaining organized and up-to-date records of entities, accounts, matters, vendors, and recurring obligations.
- Preparing document packages, status summaries, timelines, and supporting documentation for attorneys, managers, or executives.
- Drafting professional correspondence in English for review or direct use by US-based leadership.
- Tracking filings, deadlines, renewals, and follow-ups and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Coordinating with attorneys, accountants, vendors, and other external parties when needed.
- Managing inbound requests and ensuring the appropriate next step is taken.
- Maintaining calendars and follow-up systems under established processes.
- Identifying missing documentation, outstanding items, and operational gaps and getting them queued for resolution.
- Supporting corporate/entity and finance-related administrative workflows.
- Handling confidential legal,



corporate, and financial information using appropriate professional systems and secure workflows.
- Escalating matters appropriately when they require a licensed attorney, tax professional, or executive decision.

What we’re looking for The strongest candidates will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Legal Operations
- Paralegal / Legal Assistant
- Corporate Legal Support
- Entity Management
- Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO)
- Legal Support for US law firms or companies
- Corporate / Commercial Legal Operations
- Compliance Operations
- Finance Operations with significant legal/corporate exposure

US-facing experience is highly important for this role. We’re particularly interested in candidates who have personally supported US-based companies, law firms, or clients and are already familiar with the documentation, workflows, deadlines, and operational standards involved in US-facing work.

Experience working from LATAM with US commercial, corporate, legal, or creditors’ rights operations is a strong plus.

You should be comfortable with:

- Working professionally in English, especially in writing.
- Managing multiple open matters and deadlines independently.
- Building and maintaining organized tracking systems.




- Following up without being asked.
- Preparing information and documentation for licensed professionals rather than providing legal or tax advice yourself.
- Working with confidential information.
- Taking ownership of a queue and knowing when something needs to be escalated.

This role is probably not a fit if:
- Your experience has been primarily general administration or customer service.
- You have only answered phones, transferred calls, or handled basic administrative tasks.
- Your legal experience is exclusively outside the US and you have not supported US-facing work.
- Your background is primarily bookkeeping/accounting without meaningful legal or corporate operations experience.
- You are looking primarily for a legal advisory or tax advisory position.

What success looks like The goal is simple: the founder should no longer have to be the operational bottleneck. You should be able to take an open item, understand what needs to happen, organize the necessary documentation, follow up with the right people, track the deadline, and close the loop — bringing the founder in only when a signature or decision is required.

Engagement

This is a project-based contractor engagement to start. It is not being offered as a permanent or full-time employment position at the outset.

If the project is successful and there is a strong mutual fit, there may be an opportunity to continue in an ongoing role, but that would be discussed separately.
