Required for this role
- Some hands-on experience with full-stack Java development through internships, coursework, bootcamps, or serious personal projects.
- Foundational SQL skills for backend development and a willingness to deepen them.
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework, or the ability and motivation to learn it quickly.
- Some exposure to AWS or another cloud platform, with a willingness to continue learning.
- Early experience with and strong active interest in AI code tools and AI-assisted software development.
- Upper-intermediate to expert English skills for comfortable synchronous communication.
- Ability to work through well-scoped full-stack tasks with guidance and progressively take ownership of delivery.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Curiosity about prompt engineering and context engineering for software development, including some hands-on experimentation.
- A careful, questioning approach to AI-generated code, with attention to correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
Your responsibilities
- Contribute to full-stack coding tasks with support from senior engineers, progressing toward independent and timely feature delivery.
- Build practical knowledge of the software development lifecycle through day-to-day engineering work.
- Learn to navigate the technical and delivery requirements of a complex enterprise banking environment.
- Work with AI-assisted development workflows as part of everyday software engineering.
- Experiment with AI development primitives such as instructions, prompts/commands, skills, subagents, hooks, MCP, and CLI tooling.
- Build and improve AI-assisted development workflows as your understanding grows.
- Apply prompt engineering and context engineering to real software development tasks.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security compliance, performance, and long-term maintainability.
