Job Summary:
Join a general leader in financial services and play a critical role in shaping the compliance landscape in Colombia. As the Deputy Compliance Officer, you will work closely with the Compliance Officer to develop, implement, and administer a robust Compliance Management Program. Your focus will be on the detection and prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, consumer fraud, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical judgment, high level of autonomy and independent decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Regulatory Compliance: Assist the Compliance Officer in developing and maintaining all aspects of the company's Compliance Management Program, focusing on anti-money laundering (AML), anti-terrorist financing (ATF),
fraud prevention and consumer protection regulations that govern Ria as a Specialized Electronic Deposit and Payment Entity (SEDPE).
- FIU Team Leadership: Coordinate the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) team to ensure effective execution of compliance-related tasks. Provide support to the Compliance Officer in enhancing the business case based on the team’s capacity.
- Policies and Procedures: Review, update, and maintain compliance and fraud prevention policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and Ria’s international standards.
- Compliance Monitoring:Perform transaction monitoring for the identification and escalation of suspicious activity through internal reporting processes, including the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports to authorities.
