Responsibilities for IT Support Specialist
- Complete detailed reports listing requests for technical assistance from staff members, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved;
- Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from employees and clients;
- Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage;
- Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware;
- Maintain a working log detailed all required system updates, as well as the date of completion;
- Attend in-person meetings with employees, third party contractors and clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose IT systems-related issues and complete pending tickets;
- Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions;
- Establish and maintain IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks;




- Train new staff to operate within the company’s IT systems and ensuring that new staff are aware of company communication policies;
- Make sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved, keeping up to date on ever-changing cyber-threats;
- Install and maintain firewalls, establishing, and maintaining company-wide access policies to the internet;
- Provide technical support and assistance to employees, clients and third party contractors;
- Perform analysis and collect data to establish the potential for improvements within the communication networks;
- Work with third-party providers to keep the networks running smoothly and efficiently;
- Maintaining the company’s phone system and working closely with the phone service provider to keep the lines active;
Qualifications for IT Support Specialist
- Strong working knowledge and experience of Office 365
- Microsoft office certified will be additional
- 1-3 years of proven
