Mission
The mission of the Senior SEO & AI Search Manager is to build a scalable organic growth engine that keeps SIG, FUS, and SCM visible everywhere customers search, from Google and Local Search to AI-powered experiences like AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
This role goes beyond traditional SEO. It combines technical SEO,



local SEO, content strategy, and Generative Engine Optimization into one enterprise search strategy, while adapting execution to the unique competitive landscape of every FreeUp Storage facility. This person works closely with the Marketing Director, Senior Growth Marketing Strategist, Senior Web Developer, Senior Digital Experience Designer, and Senior Content Strategist to keep organic search a compounding, high-ROI channel rather than one that decays as search behavior shifts.
Outcomes
- Grow qualified organic traffic by 20 to 30% year over year across all three brands.
- Increase Local Pack presence to 35 to 55% share of priority local search terms per FreeUp Storage facility.
- Achieve consistent brand appearance in AI-generated answers (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) for at least 75% of tracked branded and category queries.
- Maintain a Core Web Vitals pass rate above 95
