Pond is seeking a Distribution Engineer to join our growing Energy team in Bogotá, Colombia. In this role, you will support Power Delivery projects for clients across the United States, working closely with our U.S.-based engineering teams.
The adecuado candidate will have 1+ years of experience in electrical distribution engineering and design, with an understanding of distribution systems, industry standards, and applicable codes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing international team while supporting a variety of power delivery projects.
- Perform engineering and design for electrical distribution systems and related infrastructure.
- Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other technical deliverables.
- Apply applicable client, industry, and regulatory standards to distribution system designs.
- Review designs and deliverables for quality, consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Provide technical support to project teams as needed.
- Review existing designs and identify opportunities to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Learn and effectively utilize client-provided software, systems, and design standards.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and coordination meetings with U.S.-based teams and clients.
- Support multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, technical accuracy, and cost-effective design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or similar), or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution system design, engineering standards, and industry practices.
- Working knowledge of NESC and other applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Experience developing and/or reviewing engineering drawing
