When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work As a Restaurant Captain, you’re not just overseeing and coordinating front-of-house operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Support daily restaurant operations: Oversee and participate in daily outlet operations, including ensuring guest service standards, product quality, and compliance with operational policies and procedures
- Master the menu: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the menu, including wines, cocktails, and beverage pairings, and assist guests with menu selections and inquiries
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences: Monitor product and service quality,
assess guest satisfaction, address issues, and make improvements to enhance the dining experience
- Ensure seamless service: Record orders and transactions accurately in the Point of Sales system and review order dockets to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- Collaborate with kitchen team: Communicate menu inquiries, wait times, product availability, and any dietary restrictions or special requests to the kitchen to ensure smooth service
- Guide team members through each shift: Provide on-the-floor supervision and coaching to foster a positive and productive work environment
- Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
