The print producer is responsible for overseeing print campaigns and checking creative assets against each project’s specs. This person liaises with print vendors to manage relationships and ensure proper file sizes and formats are used along with ensuring timely delivery of final files. This person has experience managing schedules and creating print estimates and can facilitate each project from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple projects from inception to delivery, routing assets through mech preps and QA (to verify specs and QR codes), while partnering with client partners on asset approvals. (Retail print also includes routing assets for internal review.)
- Create schedules, timelines, and estimates for each project.
- Review projects for live, trim, and bleed.
- Verify spec sheets for proper sizes, file-naming conventions, and creative codes.
- Ensure fonts are provided with final files.
- Review the final InDesign file to confirm size, bleeds, and layers.
- Check image resolution for size being printed.
- Validate color separations for CMYK and any variable layers.
- Confirm tap test for envelope window, if needed.
- Review vendor proofs.
- Check the printer’s live seed list against printer’s lettershop proof to confirm that variable information is correct.
Required Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- Three to five years of agency or studio experience specializing in print production.
- Expertise in printing formats and industry standards for printing legibility.
- Adept at vendor relationships, including estimating cost, awarding projects, and managing end-to-end production of assets.
- Understands postal regulations and mail-drop bundling for cost-efficiencies.
- Collaborates easily across teams.
- Highly organized and effective communicator.
- Able to reprioritize as needed with a keen sense of urgency and proactiveness.
- Proficient in MS Excel and knowledgeable in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Experience with project management systems, such as Workfront, a plus.
